為了紀念義大利詩人但丁逝世七百週年，本片重新詮釋但丁與愛人碧亞特莉絲的重逢， 從但丁青年時代的詩集《新生》到傳世名作《神曲》， 碧亞特莉絲的身影始終縈繞不去。
